Womens Ministries

Women’s Ministries you can be involved in.

  • Barnabeths – To encourage one another with cards, calls, or visits
  • Bulletin Boards – Keep the four bulletin boards in the foyer neat, updated with the latest information and changing with the seasons.
  • Dorcas Circle – To get together and make items for the Chimala Hospital, Azle Manor, and shut-ins.
  • Food Pantry – Help serve the needs of the people in our community.
  • Golden Girls Tea – A special time to honor our ladies 65 years and older.
  • Greeters – Greeting visitors and providing information regarding classes and location as well as handing out the bulletin.
  • Helping Hands – To allow women who are willing to visit shut-ins and make calls to people who are declining in health and unable to accomplish the activities of daily living.
  • Meal for the Sick – Participants will take meals to members who are unable to prepare food due to an illness or surgery.
  • Secret Prayer Sisters – Opportunity to encourage and pray for one another.
  • Showers – A group of women who will rotate helping host a wedding and/or baby shower.
  • Soul Sisters – To provide an opportunity to serve which will encourage young women to persevere in their faith while ministering to the older women of the church.
  • Women’s Retreat – Is a time away for the purpose of concentrating on spiritual growth, prayer, fun, and fellowship.
  • Youth Bulletin Board – Maintain and update with events and activities involving the youth of our congregation.

Women’s Activities

  • Book Club – Once a month you will be discussing one book to be chosen by the participants.
  • Bunco – Game played usually with 12 ladies using dice and requires no previous knowledge to enjoy the game.
  • Canasta – Card game played with 2 or more players and 5 decks of cards.
  • Christmas Gathering – Celebrate the holidays with fun, good food, singing, and fellowship.
  • Cooking Club – A time to share recipes and good food.
  • Ladies Outing – Four fun filled field-trips.
  • Play Date – A time for mothers of young children to come together for fun and fellowship.
